Learn Spanish games and my experience with this method | Good and bad information in regards to the popular methods of learning Spanish
The other day I went online to find some learn Spanish methods. It appeared to me that one of the best ways to learn it would be to play some learn Spanish games or may be to buy an interactive guide. For some reason it always appeared to me as being one of the easiest ways to learn a new language. Let's examine the bare facts. There are only a handful of learning methods that are fun and most of them are sometime of a game variation. So if you're able to learn Spanish while playing then hey! Why not?I tried different methods to learn it, like using the online version of these Learning Spanish games or using the board games. Too bad these methods weren't interactive and fun, I knew that because they did not keep me hooked, they always became very monotonous very quickly. They needed to be more engaging and fun, that's why I though that may be just may be a better way would be to buy one on amazon. I decided to take this route after watching a documentary on discovery channel. This television program was based on a set of interviews with professionals in the education environment, who discussed good and bad ways of learning and remembering. The majority of those methods consisted of interactive techniques and methods which were engaging and fun. When I saw it I got goose bumps, it was so true! Dang, those guys really knew what they were talking about. For example mnemonics, is a system that's used to memorize all kinds of different things. Learning Spanish is a passion of mine, I will definitely try these methods. The game that I chose was more like a guide. You would walk from one world to the next. Each level had a story behind it. As you walked through the story/level an animated character would explain the meaning of objects. I like the way objects were displayed, they were inviting and kept me wanting to see more of them. As I progressed through these worlds I would remember more and more things. The graphics were pure joy. Some of the old objects would be repeated again so as I don't forget. The further you went the more you understood that you learned a great deal. The avatar was very supportive. If you memorized and named the right object you would get a 'congratulations!'. Unfortunately it was severe also. You knew right away that you did not remember the right thing, it was very obvious on the characters face. I became a better Spanish speaker all thanks to this game, I gave it 2 thumbs up!
